Incoming help 116519LN oysterflex
Please forgive as I am sure the answer is here somewhere
I am 50 today and the wife has given my a 116519LN bought from a grey supplier, I need a bigger oysterflex strap, one side says E one says F which I believe is standard, if I just buy a G can I use my F one side and G the other, Or E and G, how much would it make it bigger by I do not have EE or EF as I see some people use as codes |

take the watch to the RSC, and they will do the sizing for you to find out the combination which suit you the best.

As mentioned, if you’re close by one of the RSCs there I would recommend taking it directly there. They will stock the various sizes of the OF bracelets. It is difficult to swap these so I’d only want someone who is skilled (watchmaker) vs a sales person.
The double letter designation (EE, EF), etc is no longer used. It is the single letter system now. |

Happy birthday! And congrats on the incoming. As others have stated, just go to an RSC or AD and they should be able to help you size the OF.

First of all, congrats on the birthday and fantastic present.
Dealing with the OF, you're going to need someone who understands proper fitment and can source you what size strap(s) you need. That means either an AD or RSC, your pick. Not to mention, even if you do manage to source a strap, getting the old one off and the new one(s) off is NOT a DIY job. Good luck, |

Happy 50th and Huge congratulations mate.
Take it to the RSC and bring the warranty card (if you have it). Let them size it. You received it as a gift and that’s all you should have to tell them.

As amazing as the oysterflex straps are, and look, they can be a bit of a compromise, if you don’t have just the ‘right’ size wrist
I’m fortunate in that a E+F combo fits my 7” wrist absolutely perfectly, with the clasp centred perfectly on the underside of my wrist You may have to do a little juggling to find the absolute optimum combination to suit you. It’s not uncommon to find yourself using matching length straps on both 12 o’clock and 6 o’clock (i.e F+F) What you are proposing with an F+G combination, is an increase of 2.25cms (just over x2 standard oyster bracelet links) over what you currently have, which is quite a lot....but then I don’t know how large your wrist is, and how the watch fits you now, in its current configuration What I’m trying to say, is try before you buy blind, these things aren’t cheap, I paid £550 (approx $760US), for the pair I needed Good luck sir 👊🏼

Thanks, I am quite good at changing straps so do not have that issue as I think ADs are not very good, I guess an E G might work as well, thanks for your help |

just to remind you its not that straight forward if you havent tackled osyterflex bracelet before. you kind of need to push quite hard the rubber just to see the springbar. its just not the same as changing the submariner bracelet as people here have said.

It’s pretty easy to change yourself. Bit of tape if you’re worried about scratching lugs and pinch the oysterflex to expose the pin bar. And happy birthday. Nice wife.
