How do you feel about this model: 210.30.42.20.01.001, omega seamaster
In my opinion it is quite a cool watch.. I always saw it a bit as a no go but i must confess that i like it more and more.. What about you guys?

Aesthetically I like the watch as a whole, but these are subjective opinions. The quality of the watch is an objective opinion, and I would even go so far as to say that I would choose the Omega Calibre 8800 over the Rolex 32XX, especially in terms of reliability.

I did a quick Google search, it's nice piece. I was able to see one of these at the AD when I picked one of my watches up from service.

Glad to see the waves back in some form. For me I prefer the Chronograph versions these days but you can't go wrong with this piece, at all.

For me it’s too busy and chintzy! I chose the Seamaster 300 instead as my first venture away from Rolex.

Spec wise, it holds its own very well. The bezel action is no where near the sub, but that aside it’s a great watch. Whether it appeals to you visually is up to you however. It’s very versatile in terms of straps however where I’ve never thought the Rolex was.

At around or less than that price, I’d go BB58 but that’s just my own thoughts and preferences

I have the white on bracelet and absolutely love it. This is all about personal choice and the recently announced 300's, just make the personal decision even harder!

It is the sweet spot for Seamasters and loaded with features. It wears comfortable on the wrist especially on rubber which I prefer. The nicest color in my opinion and most overlooked is the grey dial.

Great watch and in a lot of ways I prefer it to my two Submariners. Fit and finish are excellent and the rubber strap changes up the wear and look of the watch significantly. The price difference is a big deal and taking that into account the discussion can be had that if you do not want the crown on a watch this could be the one. I wear mine a lot and enjoy them.

The omega diver is a nice watch but is held back by its vastly inferior bracelet and super bulky clasp, two of the biggest negatives in my book. It's also a touch too thick and the general styling is not nearly as classic when compared to the famous crown's submariner. Other than that, I personally like the date implementation far better on the Omega and I think the Omega movement is technically superior, plus I enjoy the display case-back.

I think from a price/availability perspective, it's a great option.

I agree with you. I tried on the Seamster 300M the other day and it's a big watch. Lug to lug it can work on my wrist, but it's thick and wears chunky. I was kind of surprised. Not trying to take away from Omega (it looks great), if they made it smaller/thinner I'd love it.

I've tried on the BB58 in the past too, and it felt nearly perfect. Another good alternative is the Oris divers 65 (the one with the bronze outer bezel)...that felt perfect to me.

Love Omega, and own a Rolex Deepsea Blue — my ultimate Rolex. My fav Omega here, but does not come this way. Ordered rubber strap and deployment separately to put this one together. Movement is crazy accurate — CO‑AXIAL MASTER CHRONOMETER CHRONOGRAPH.
