Hello everyone, just a quick heads-up for those lovin' the two-tone GMTs like I do.

I wish I could accommodate everyone that is looking for one, but this 1970 GMT beauty is the only one I have and it isn't going anywhere.

There definitely seems to be a movement out there in GMT Land for these gorgeous GMTs.

To know them is to love them. Now, let's see what you have!!!

I know what it's like to try to love a watch and fail. I never really bonded with this, TBH. It's just not me, although I think it's quite a nice example of the genre.

That's sad Dan and Zapokee too, but if it doesn't sing to you I suppose it's time to move on. Both really beautiful though. I suppose my love for mine is kind of an extension of my love for my Dad who gave it to me. Things certainly could have been different if he had purchased a different watch but I really do think the 1675/3 is a beautiful reference. Very nice contributions Baumare and Mais_Um too!

1972 1675 TT GMT. Serviced at Dallas RSC in 2006 and languished in a bank box until a few weeks ago. This was my daily from 2001 til around 2004, a lovely watch.:)

Not sad at all. This is how we learn and develop our tastes in the hobby. You have to know when to move on.

Different story when your dad gives you a watch, though. My dad's 400-buck Eternamatic is my favorite piece of all time. The pencil hands curve down to fit snug with the domed dial. And who needs a second hand, anyway?

@Zapokee, that is a classic looking timepiece and very lovely with the minimalist dial. I was just hanging out with my dad yesterday and our conversation again turned to watches for some reason. It's always nice to share a hobby with your dad! My other three siblings love the Apple watches, so as you said, to each their own!

The root beers are definitely the red-headed step child of the GMT lineup (aside from the new CHNR, which is pretty amazing in it's own right!) not to mention, some have the impression the TT makes it only fit for the older generation or some rubbish. Of course with the next generation, my son included (19yrs) he likes a little ice on the bezel. Now that, I don't understand at all hahahaha!
@Springer, I really wish you would do the full bezel insert and dial analysis like you did for the Pepsi for the 1675/3, 16753 and brethren. Your posts and depth of knowledge only enrich this forum and I'm not sure who else could do it. I wouldn't even know where to start except with your Pepsi thread!
