Amidst speculation of a new one, a technical questions about the old (16570)

Hello all.

I, like most of you, am looking forward to the new releases today. I have a query regarding my 16570, however.

Z Serial with 3185 movement. It's been near enough +/- 1spd for the last 4 and a bit years. Amazing. Around 10 days ago, I adjusted the hour hand for Daylight Savings time. It's now running at +5spd.

Any ideas what could've caused the change? It's been solid over the years, and I haven't used or treated it any way out of the normal, nor have I banged it on anything etc. Just seems weird.

Thanks.

Edit: I should note it had a full service in Jul 2019, by Dallas RSC.

Appreciate it's been a busy day for watches, but any advice welcome!

It's still running fast I now I note that there is excess friction when hand winding, and sometimes the crown stem seems to disengage entirely, spinning freely without winding/jumping hour/setting time (hacking).

Sounds like it could be a warranty job but my nearest retailer is over an hour away and if I'm missing something and can avoid a trip that would be amazing!

Not very precise your story. You says it was running +- 1 spd for the last 4 and a bit years, but you sent it to RSC in Dallas 2 years ago. Why did you send it in?

Apologies, should've included that detail.

I'd noticed the rotor making a grinding noise as it moved about in the case. RSC gave it a movement service (no replacement parts I'm aware of) and all was good. Even then, the timing remained excellent.
