New Hermes H08 line

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/hermes-h08-2021

Not a watch company that you eagerly await for their annual releases, but this year's H08 looks elegantly sporty in its design. Particularly like the all black graphene case model. Your thoughts on Hermes watches and the H08 Line?

They have made some interesting pieces in the past but this isn't one IMO.

IMO, their best effort is still the Arceau L’Heure De La Lune from a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, these don't do anything for me.

+1. I always liked this:

I love it. Good friend of mine (and TRF poster) just bought one on the blue strap. I am seriously thinking of buying myself. Super fun weekender vibe going on with it. Hermes is really upping their game. Fun and quirky watch. The more cool watches the better for all of us.

Called my local Hermès boutique and some H08 models are coming in and they have been reserved. Placed myself to see the next black graphene model that comes in.

I like it. Wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying one.

Been saying we need more orange color in timepieces... might get one because, well, why not. You only live once so go for it!

Nice 100m WP rating too.

Anyone know warranty length as I tend to use my timepieces?

I could even imagine the orange strap will look good on the all black graphene model since all models have the orange second hand.

+1 on the orange strap one. Gotta say, in the past few years I've become a big fan of the "fashion" brands - Hermes with this new H08 is great, but I also really loved the Slim d'Hermes. Almost bought that one so many times and the rose gold GMT is on my list for "one day". And also Bulgari. I did end up buying the Octo Finnisimo S (black dial). It feels like these fashion houses (apologies, I don't know what else to call them) have really put beautiful design as a first principle which makes for some fantastic and interesting watches.

I agree. And with Bulgari, you are getting some serious horological chops.

I bought the H08 on the blue fabric strap the day it was announced and had it the next day. It’s a really awesome watch. I will likely be returning it as the strap/buckle doesn’t fit my very small wrist and haven’t heard back on getting a short strap for it but for anyone considering this one I’d HIGHLY recommend it.

The buckle has a really cool micro adjuster too. Can move it about 5 notches just by pushing a button inside the clasp.

Bought mine today. Probably one of the better new releases of the week. Just love how light and comfortable it feels on the wrist. Hermès has done well.

Love the orange strap version! Can you post pics of the watch on your wrist? I'm interested to know from you how you think the strap wears...is the clasp a bit chunky or does it wear pretty flat? Thanks in advance!

I have a flat 6.3” wrist. Watch wears flat. The clasp is unique, with a 5mm micro adjustment but once you’ve figured how to work it, it’s easy. Watch is very light and comfortable.

On your first photo, I like how the strap (at here it contacts the case) is contoured to follow the lug. Small detail but brings character.
