Would you straight trade Daytona for 44mm AP Offshore Ceramic

What do you guys think? Straight trade white 116500 Daytona for a 44mm RO Offshore ceramic? I guess the question here is at what point does the Daytona stop going up in value?

I had the same dilemma asking myself if I would ever trade up if price of the Daytona keeps going up. I come to realized that I could never do it. It’s a keeper.

NO WAY!
I own 2 Daytona (SS and pm) and 2 AP(roo and dress watch).
You’re not getting good trade value because the mkt for pre-owned roo is (and has been) dropping for 2 years.
Daytona has more value and will hold its current price because of scarcity and unprecedented demand. AP made too many offshores and limited editions. The resale value is not there. Also almost all offshores can be bought new at list or at some discount - that will never happen for a new Daytona.

No. I’d only do SS to PM or SS Daytona to SS ROC.

Not to an ROO, to a classic Royal Oak or even ROC absolutely.

I’d consider the trade for a APRO, but not the ROO it APROC. Still prefer the DaytonaC though.

Ap fan. Not a chance that’s a good idea. For what (maybe good) reasons did you think of doing this?

Big AP fan, with an Offshore on bracelet among others in my collection. Hate to say it but they’re a dime a dozen, walk into any AP boutique and you walk out with one at MSRP, no sweat. Drops in value like a rock immediately. In comparison, your Daytona (even though I’m personally not a fan) is a rare piece that’s likely to keep appreciating... No way I’d do the trade.

Nope. I’m an AP fan. Enjoyed a PM ROO today. However, they can be had for less than the Daytona. I’ve considered the ceramic and may still add one. But I would not do the trade you mention.

Keep the Daytona and add.

I should note it’s a ceramic chronograph, not your standard ROO diver.

Dare I say.....maybe getting a little bored of the Daytona

Unless you’re really in love with the Offshore, hate the Daytona and can’t wait to get rid of it - it is at the end of the day just a watch that you’re supposed to enjoy. But that doesn’t seem to be the case, so I wouldn’t trade.

I like the ROO beast but other than that the classic RO or 41 ROC would be it.

I did something like this in 2017-2018 except I sold a 116500 white and bought a 26400IO. I think I got 16500 for the Daytona and paid 21k for the ROO new from AD lol

This. The Offshore is basically a parody of the RO.

44mm ROOs dont sell well. They are too large for 90% of ppl to wear.

If it was a 42mm ROC then yes I would.

If u must, sell the Daytona and get the AP for a discount and pocket the difference. Straight trade makes no sense here!
