MB Ferrari Pen

Anyone heard anything about the MB Ferrari pen? I was given a presentation on the artistic version, which was very cool, and expensive. I understand there will be a limited edition at some point.

Never heard anything about that!

Do you have any photos/evidence?

No photos allowed during MB artistic presentations (new great wall of china and few other extremely ornate items shown along with ferrari pen). It was fairly simple, particularly compared to the others. Red, angles and heavy. It was a few months ago and trying to remember it. Had a piece of engine or something on the side. It was very cool. Apparently Ferrari purchased a good chunk of them.

I just Googled pictures of it.
Not my taste, but others may like it.
Kind of like the collaboration of Ferrari and Panerai.
Again, not to my taste.

I Googled it, there is nothing online about it.
We are talking about a Montblanc - Ferrari themed pen.

It hasn't been released as yet or it would be all over Google.

If you do have photos then please show?

It was also in the mid $30k price range, which I think is fairly typical for a pen in that collection. It was the only one I asked for a price. I didn't see any PM so i thought perhaps it might not be as much. Again, I think I'm waiting for the limited edition version.

Not sure if anyone is particularly interested in this one (or just me), but I put down a deposit and was able to see pictures of the limited edition (shiny metallic finish) and special edition (red). Not allowed to get photos. The artistic version was on a different level, but both of these were still very cool, especially if you are a fan of Ferrari. November release. $4k+ and $1k+ respectively. Europe first as usual.

Any more thoughts on the Ferrari MB pens now that they are more available? Haven't seen one in person yet so would appreciate more thoughts from those that have. Will try to stop by and see what is available in the US from my local store.

The artisan limited edition of 98 that i saw was amazing. Truly amazing. Too expensive for a pen in my mind though.

I have the special edition now in ballpoint, which is fine. Not amazing but it's nice. Very similar to the James Dean in red, which I also have, but the James Dean is actually nicer to hold and use (better feel and weight). I honestly would not have bought it if it wasn't Ferrari. I am supposed to get the limited edition in rollerball sometime next week. I have high hopes for that one and will post a picture once i get it.

Enzo Ferrari limited edition red and white. White is about 5k red is about 1k. I don’t think it will be a massive collectors item. Also (from the world of watches) anything with Ferrari written on it doesn’t hold value- ask panarai!

Yes

Agreed. I'm not really sure why so many companies want to do a collab with Ferrari. Must be big money to MB. Poster is correct. Anything with Ferrari on it ( except for the cars) doesn't sell well.

Ferrari is one of the most valuable brands in the world. There were many reasons the collaboration with Panerai didn’t work well, but it is a hard brand to collaborate with because i think there can be a stigma sometimes. I understand the majority of the artistic versions went to Ferrari itself. Who else is going to pay $50k for a Ferrari pen? I’ve had ferraris for a while and collect MBs so it was natural for me. The Pirelli pen i bought a few weeks before was actually a but more interesting…

To be clear, the regular version made sense for me, not the artistic version!

Incoming: Great Characters Enzo Ferrari Limited Edition 1898 Fountain Pen

Couldn't resist after seeing the one earlier in this thread. My boutique tells me I got the last one of the limited edition of 1898 after putting a deposit down a month back (but that seems doubtful?).

This is the same pen that mjm700 posted a few weeks back. I'm pairing mine here with the hulk for a little red and green Christmas color scheme.

Anyone have any of the other limited edition Ferrari pens they can post a picture of here?

The MB Pirelli does look nice with the black-tire-rubber looking body. Did you get that in rollerball as well or did you go with the fountain?

The Great Characters/Writers/Masters pens can be a bit addicting.

I like a variety of fountains, rollerballs and ballpoints. The Pirelli is a fountain. I usually go rollerball if i think i will use it often.

Been offered Enzo Ferrari limited edition fountain pen from my MB Boutique.
I’m not 100% sure on this one and don’t want to rush my purchase . Everyone one is claiming they are sold out but in past I’ve found that MB release in batches and hoping the pen will still be available next year.
Any thoughts on how supply will pan put on this ?

Not completely sure but my conversations with the boutique discussed staggered batches.

I’ll definitely want to own one of those if it’s available anywhere, I’ve checked around but can’t seem to find it.

Thanks
