Daytona 116500 Black or White?

Let’s do a poll after all these years since it’s launched back in 2016.. I know earlier on most vote and bought the white dial.. hence I would say almost 90% of the new SS Daytona I see in the wild are white/panda dial.

If you have a chance to make that purchase again considering this is your first 116500.. which will you pick? White or black?

Would pick white if I had the choice since it's a nice change of pace from the sea of black dials.

I was offered black though and I love it. Very elegant and sleek.

I originally wanted a white dial(116520) but was offered the black dial. Ecstatic as I was I took it. Then I had Rolex change the dial to white( that's a whole different story). Now that I had white I sure wish I had black again. So years later I had Rolex change it back to black(I still had the original dial and still another different story. So now that I had black again, I sure wish I had the white still. So at the end of the day either one; I'm sure you will be very happy with.

Now that the 116500 is out I have the white and black dial. Though the white dial is sweet. There truly is something very unique, cool, classy and stealth about the black dial though.

In this configuration - 116500LN, it’s the white dial (for me) by a country mile.

I see mostly black dial in the wild which is not often...

I waited for the white and even passed on the black while waiting. Both are great, but the white is just stunning.

This is just my observation, but it seems like non watch people are drawn to the black. The internet loved the white. WIS seem to love what they love regardless of hype.

I don’t know what category I fall into, but I love the black.

Had a black ceramic and sold it. Got a white steel and didn’t like it. Wish I had the black ceramic again. I won’t go grey for the ceramics so I’m prob screwed .

I had the black and sold it for the white. I couldn’t see the dial as well on the black. The details of the dial stand out more on the white. Both are great- can’t go wrong with either.

Negative. People who say white actually mean white because it’s the more special of the two. Black one is awesome too, but not “special”.

The black is definitely the more attractive one, most that voted for white are just on the hype train
