Patek 6119
Has anyone seen these in the case, or asked their AD about either the 6119r or 6119g? Curious about your experiences with availability.
I asked at two different ADs, both said it’s hard to come by (though I feel like ADs say that about almost all watches these days). One mentioned it’s an allocation piece that only comes in pre-sold. Neither had either watch on display. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Picked mine up this week. It’s a great piece so I imagine initially demand will be strong |

That is really a fantastic looking piece. Someone posted the RG and both look even better in real life than the press pictures. My AD said they expecting regular stock later this year but probably initially hard to just find in cases. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Side note: are any of you aware that women's SS sport models count as SS allocation pieces in a collection (same weight as men)? I was told as such when discussing when I could get a new sports model for myself. Apparently my wife's Nautilus counts against me . Sent from my SM-G988U using Tapatalk |

Not an allocation piece. They are both very beautiful in person. They will probably not hit cases as often to make them more special.

Definitely not an allocation piece, but I would imagine the initial 2-4 pieces that each AD will get will sell relatively quickly to existing customers, then there will be a wait for new deliveries |

The problem is they are out the door as soon as they arrive so I can imagine a queue forming in certain AD’s, I’ve asked for a call when the next rose gold one comes in but customers are waiting for them so unless they have an event in the shop I won’t see one.

For those that have tried it on:
How does the 39mm 6119 wear compared to 37mm 5196? (I feel like the 5196 is bigger than 37mm) Loving that 6119 graphite dial |

Good and interesting point. How many of these do you think Patek will produce and sell per year? I’d guess maybe 2000? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

This makes sense too. I could see interest always being higher for a new model that comes out, and then maybe goes down awhile after the release since the people that wanted them got it. So maybe after a year we’ll be able to see these in the case. On the other hand, I guess if interest is sustained and Patek doesn’t increase production (which I could see that potentially being the case for their “cheaper” models), then what was an allocation piece at release stays an allocation piece. I hate pulling the trigger on a watch cause you fear not being able to get it later. Should just buy what you like. But I can’t say FOMO doesn’t affect me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

EWC has one listed for U$39.9k. That's almost 10k above list.
That's absolutely insane. |

Hazard pay for sticking one’s neck out by being among the first ones flipping novelties to a grey dealer. Risking blowback from PP and the AD for $10K, that’s what’s insane unless one is ready to forfeit PP collecting altogether. .

Yeah that seems to be the current situation, in any busy AD these have already been requested, so whilst not an allocation watch the first few of each one are already spoken for.

I just received a call from my AD saying they received a 6119G for me. I am going in tomorrow to scope it out.
I’m a little concerned after seeing some photos that the lugs appear to be longish, and they don’t quite curve down, so they can stick out straight as your wrist starts to curve. I have 17.5cm wrists. It’s a significant purchase for me so it would have to not only look great (it does) but fit great as well. Given the newness I’m not sure if I will be able to try it on first, I know they like to allow customers to “cut the seal” on the special pieces. I will find out more tomorrow. I’m not sure I can allow myself to buy it without trying it on first. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Definitely not an allocation piece. Just went into my AD today and found this waiting. This watch is so much better in person than Patek’s PR photos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nice pic.
The watch is monochrome but not as dull as a 5196G. The various textures make it a very complex yet subtle design. I guess it will wear larger than its size. |

It has almost a vertical texture to it so depending on the angle and how the light hits it the dial goes from silver to black. The watch seems almost plane from the press photos but it’s very dynamic and elegant in person.
