Found warranty card for rolex submariner ref 116610

As stated in title. A buddy found this card and asked me what he should do with it.

If you have a pic of your watch with a matching serial number, you may be in luck.

Card was found in nyc streets.

I would try to call the AD on the back of the card. They should have the name of the original owner in their database
Rolex in NY would be another way of going about it if reported missing

It’s so nice of you to help this poor card find its way back home!

What a bizarre thing to find on the streets. FYI, if he takes it to the AD, and the watch has been reported stolen, he might find himself answering some uncomfortable questions to the police.

I'd maybe just mail it anonymously to the AD or something with a note explaining.

Mail it to the original AD? The stamp might cost abit more! Safe to assume the watch was sold in Quebec!

AD is in Qatar, I’m likely not pursuing that route.

If the owner happens to be a member here and has the matching watch then mission accomplished.

country code reference is Qatar, and the "G" serial is last of the serials before random, the watch is from 2010. I would hang on to the card and post it from time to time see if the owner is missing a card. I doubt the original owner is the person who lost the card more likely the watch has traded hands a few times. If you have free time start looking for 116610 for sale and see if you can find the watch for sale.

I’m very curious what the owner went through to leave a warranty card on an NYC street.

Probably a watch dealer transporting it along the streets.

What neighborhood? If it was Midtown by Rockefeller Plaza, then perhaps it was a pre-owned piece purchased from one of the dealers in the diamond district. Card happened to fall out when buyer was heading home.

Stick the image out on anti-social media, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and it’ll find its way home.

Gentleman you all have great ideas but honestly this is the top of my effort aside from mailing it if someone with proof of watch contacts me.
