Batman on oyster and jubilee - overkill?

The Batman is one of my favorite watch of all time. Does anyone own both the Batman on oyster and jubilee? I know I could just buy a bracelet and swap them but I’d prefer the ability to just grab whichever I prefer without fiddling around with swapping bracelets.

I mean it's all relative, right...?

Yes, it's probably overkill BUT if we're being honest, spending $10+ thousand dollars on a single rolex watch is overkill to a vast majority of the population. Now for someone that's a WIS and spends time hanging out on a website called "The Rolex Forum", maybe it's not so crazy...

Seems like a sever lack of imagination for enjoying a hobby, but whatever makes you happy. I personally would grab a DJ to go along with a GMT if I had to have a jubilee.

I don't own a BLNR w/ Oyster but I do love my BLNR w/ jubilee. I don't mind the Oyster on my Sub but find the Jubilee to be much more comfortable on my wrist. Just my .02

Redundant IMO - I'd get something different and try and just source the other bracelet.

From posts here it sounded like the consensus was that it is within the realm of possibility for Rolex to allow owners of one bracelet to purchase the other bracelet in the future. Who knows for sure though, we'll see!

Two GMTs is too many gmt. Unless one was 5 digit vs 6.

Less is more. Pick one, and stick with it. Personally I think BLNR looks best on oyster and BLRO looks best on jubilee.

I personally wouldn’t. Unless both are at msrp and no other offerings at msrp.

Well....if you have to ask, you should buy a third and put a rubber strap, then you have all the bases covered.

I would swap the bracelets over. But as has already been alluded to, it's relative. Owning one BLNR would be considered overkill by most normal people. We are not normal here.

Owning both watches is overkill IMO, but I think owning both bracelets is not. It only takes a minute to swap, and it significantly changes the look and feel.

I, for one, am looking forward to being able to buy the Oyster bracelet for my BLNR on Jubilee soon.

I’d rather BLNR plus BLRO at that point.

Never liked BLNR on jubilee. So that would stay on oyster for me personally.

I’ve seen a good many collection photos here where that has been the case. I do understand the logic, but spending 10 grand to not be inconvenienced for 3 minutes sure does classify as overkill in the Easy E playbook of life.

Personally, I think it would be pretty stupid to have both a jubilee and oyster BLNR. I have the BLNR on jubilee and love it!

Oh yeah, one more thing, I almost forgot....I am on "the list" for a BLNR on oyster. I never claimed to be smart......

I want all GMTs on all bracelets. Can't get enough. GMTs speak to me like no other Rolex model. I have a BLRO and BLNR on jubilee and would like a BLRO on brushed oyster!

If you are a watch collector or an avid enthusiast, then you would absolutely have the GMT BLNR in whatever configurations they have available.

If it comes with both the Oyster and the Jubilee, you would have one of each. There is no redundancy, it's not stupid, they are different configurations of the GMT, and perfect for the enthusiast.

I'm sure that there are plenty of "one-watch" type of guys who might think it silly; fine - they aren't us.

I would do it tbh. that's how you truly will find out if you prefer the Jub or Oys bracelet. By that time, you might be like 4-5k up to flip one of them. However, I would only wear SS sport watches with Oys bracelet. Just MY preference.

Same or a black GMT, just not 2 of the same model.

Love the BLNR, but not enough to have two. Way overkill, I can be very indecisive at times and will ponder between two pens in Walmart but I would have to figure which I like most and pick it. Then look to other great Rolex options.
Besides, I think when the novelty wears off, you’ll get tired of having two.
