The old "battery is out so not working" trick!

I don't know much about these things, but I believe they are supposed to be a benchmark timepiece

apologies for poor image

some very light marks on the glass, but nothing serious

This one is marked with this on the face:

ROLEX
OYSTER PERPETUAL
DATEJUST


SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER
OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED

the battery was removed & never replaced when the band broke

the battery clip has this on it:

Hand adjusted
Swiss Made
no jewels

I believe this is one of the ways to check if it's genuine

Still there. The bracelet is not visible. You can tell the quartz Rolex easily by the special bracelet that comes with the watch.

But it would still say Rolex on the quartz movement.
