16013 wrong bezel installed PLEASE HELP
New to the forum here, noob also.
I just recently found out my 16013 has a bezel from a newer Rolex model that uses a sapphire crystal and I am so bummed out I guess that's why my bezel can be easily be removed by my fingers. I just ordered the correct bezel that's supposed to go with my watch. My huge concern is that, is the newer Rolex bezel have a tighter or looser fit? Because when I got the watch the base of the plastic crystal showed cracks so I assumed the bezel was may be forced installed causing the crystal to crack and stretched out the bezel? I am so worried that my new actually corresponding bezel might not fit this time or maybe I'm just over thinking this. Someone please help lol. I'm a noob so I'm sorry if I come not so watch literate/educated with what to exactly look for in the closes detail. I don't have pictures right now because my watch is currently at LA watch works. Thanks everyone! |

A watchmaker with the proper tool can make small adjustments to bezels. Presumably LAWW will put things straight for you.

The plexi crystal and bezel are installed together because they make up the waterproof seal.
The sapphire crystal makes it's own seal against a Delrin gasket and the bezel is just dressing over the top. A bezel that you can take off from a Plexi crystal is not sealing.
