Availability of green Submariner

Hello,

I don't yet own a Rolex, but I've had my eye on the green Submariner and think it may be my first. I'm pretty new to all things Rolex (although I've enjoyed reading this forum and have learned a lot), and I don't have a good feel for availability of this model. I'll be visiting Las Vegas in December; when I was last there, I saw the Rolex store at the Wynn, and promised myself I would actually go *in* the store on my next visit. So that's one of my goals for my upcoming visit.

In December, how likely am I to find a green Submariner in Las Vegas? Does the Rolex store at the Wynn generally have this model in stock, or is it hit and miss? (I'll admit I haven't checked local AD's carefully. I kind of like to buy something nice while on vacation as it reminds me of the vacation, and the timing of that trip is near Christmas, so I can always justify it as a gift to myself.)

Congrats on picking the LV. The maxi-dial rocks! The watch is getting a bit easier to find. In my area they are still scarce, but I read reports of easier availability elsewhere.
I do see them quite often on sales corners at prices very close and sometimes below MSRP with tax.
As far as Vegas,.. well I've no doubt there are some there, but I've never seen any in any store on the strip.
I've read reports of them being "held back" for those that have dropped some serious money at the store or casino.

Like everyone is saying LV’s are getting easier to find, but take that with a grain of salt. They used to be about as impossible to find as SS Daytonas, whereas now you can probably get one from your AD w/o waiting more than 6 months or so, and every blue moon you find one sitting in an AD’s window.

I think the guys here failed to tell you that the holiday season (December) is hands down the busiest watch buying time of the year, and with the millions upon millions of tourists in Vegas every day, I would think that Vegas would probably be one of if not the most difficult places to find a unique Rolex other than NYC.

If I were you, go befriend a local AD, let them know of your sincere desire to own an LV, give yourself a couple of months to wait, and I’d say by early next year you should most certainly have it.
