Is an OP36 black dial proper for a women

I have had the opportunity to pick up a Oyster Perpetual 36mm as I am looking to get my wife a Rolex.

Is there anyone out here that has bought their wife a black OP36?

I was trying to get the nice colored ones but are hard to get.

Thoughts about a women in her forties wearing a black OP36?

Don't go with the "I'm going with this one because it's the one I can get but not the one she'd want" watch.

Don't get me wrong, she could certainly pull it off, but all depends on what her style is. Have you considered the 34, or even 31 (since the latter comes in all the bright colors)?

My wife has the green OP in 31mm.

My mom has a 36 mm OP in black.

Both are very classy watches.

Nothing un ladylike about wearing a black OP36. It’s a timeless and classy watch.
Look up Watch Gringa on YouTube, she has a good video about it

My wife mostly wears OP 31 blue Roman. She is petit, she prefers classic style watches in oppose to large ones.

The question confuses me- the watch is classy and well sized- it will probably age better and be more versatile than one of the brighter dials.
Not sure how or why there'd be an arbitary cutoff to wearing it when you hit 40. Or 50, or any other age.
I dare you to ask your wife if she thinks she's too old to wear it.

A lady's answer to your question : I find black dials super classy and they go with everything. I have myself 3 black dial OPs (34, 36 and 39).

I think a two tone lady’s datejust is the smartest looking option for a lady.

I showed my wife 5 different watches online and had her try on 3 models in person. She wanted a 40mm or larger as she thought the smaller watches were too “dainty”

Ask the lady and let her try on a few…best way to figure out what’s proper. Enjoy the search because it’s more fun hunting as a couple.
