Would you?
I know these threads come up often but its interesting to see what people think.
I currently have a 3 watch collection, BLNR, YM40 blue dial, OP41 green dial. I have the opportunity to get a 2021 37mm Royal Oak 15450st white dial. I will be trading in my 2017 BLNR and 2021 YM 40 (Blue dial) with a bit of cash their way. |

That's a hard no... unless you're really desperate and the AP is for your wife because you forgot your anniversary and she really wants the AP and you're kinda broke so that trade is the only way to 'get out of wife jail'.

I would keep Batman but trade YM + OP + reasonable cash (check the market) for 15450ST.
Or purchase 15450ST from the boutique with some wait time.

Hello no. But that’s because I’m not a fan of AP. Too many watches to get rid of just to get it… pass.
At 37mm is there significant demand for it ? You have no chances at AD? |

I would do this too. I love the BLNR too much to ever let it go.

Here in the UK even the 37mm is hard to come by at an AD.

No way I would do that. I wouldn't want to lose the functionality of the GMT and YM. Those are both great watches that I would not want to let go of.

No need to do that trade. Just ask your local AP. You will get a 37mm within reasonable time. Stop feeding the gray market

No disrespect OP but I have a good feeling this watch is above your pay grade, so I would pass if I were you.

I personally would pass. That particular AP just does not do it for me. I would take your current collection over that. Plus for me 37mm is too small for my liking.

Personally would not. Love the RO but also find that I wear my BLNR more often than my RO because its just easy, convenient and worry free. OP and YM, I'd consider. Also, make sure to try on the RO before committing to it as it wears smaller than your current pieces.

And you may very well be more wealthy than I am, but at least I'm not looking to flick my pieces to the grey market and give it its pound of flesh every time, I'm building slowly as my income grows. And more importantly, I know where my lane is and I stick to it. You have a couple of Rolex steel watches and you think you can play in the big leagues of high horology, I bet you are the type of guy who is going to freak out when he sees the service bill from AP. |
