First Thread, First Rolex, Incoming Sub Date

Hi All,

I was very fortunate to pick up a Sub Date yesterday and still feeling very chuffed to own a version of the watch I've wanted for well over a decade.

I've only owned two divers before this, an Aquis 43.5 (still have) and a Seiko Turtle (sold). The Seiko was too big and chunky for my taste and did not last long.

I was pleasantly surprised the Sub wears smaller than I had imagined, and really feels like the perfect Goldilocks size for my 7" wrist. And wow does it ever feel nice.

Must be dumb luck, but the bezel aligns perfectly to my eye and the crown is almost completely vertical.

A couple pics (sorry for the quality). The first one was in the parking lot after leaving the store. I sat there for a minute or so in disbelief.

Good move - congrats! 30 years from now you'll look at that watch and it will still be as interesting and functional as it is now.

Wow, again, thank you for the warm welcome to the forum. Really excited to be a part of the community.

I've told myself for years a black Sub would be the first one, and hopefully not the last! :) And it was purchased very graciously from an AD.
