6263 Bezel - Expert Opinions Please
Hey all
I am looking for a MK1 or Mk2 Bezel for my 6263 Sigma (1975) and am close to pulling the trigger on this as its in the UK (where I am) Any expert opinions appreciated. Sadly the photos aren't very Hi Res and the seller seems unable to send me any Higher Res (slight red flag). The angle of the photo doesn't help with the tell tale "2" and the "S" in Units but am sure there are more expert eyes than mine. I have poured over this on blown up screenshots for long enough and most everything seems to check out OK. Anyone care to comment ...would be appreciated. Cheers Darren |

6263 Bezel - Expert Opinions Please
Odd…he seems to be able to take better, sharper, well-lit closeups of a Pepsi insert.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264361368...kAAOSw9hddAta5 He seems to be curmudgeonly and doesn’t take returns. Mentions a time waster in the description mad him relist the item. He admits there’s a dent of some type - and says see pics - but those pics are so poor as to not make a reasonable assessment possible. The condition I see will not be satisfactory methinks - too much damage. Unless your plan is to add this to your watch and then sell it. Is he close enough for a face to face? That bezel looks like it has been ridden hard and put away wet; too many scratches and dings. I'd pass based on asking price and what I see in the crappy photos.

The plastic insert has had a lot of work done to the inside diameter to make it fit in the bezel. It looks as if material has been hand filed away and some of the markers have been removed, at least partially.
There is a significant gap between the insert and the bezel around the 75 to 60 markers so something isn't completely circular at that point. Apart from the damage, there are some features of the insert that are a little suspicious so I'm thinking it might very well be aftermarket. In summary, the bezel is badly damaged and bent and the insert is cracked, missing markers, has the wrong profile and might be aftermarket. It's not worth paying about $3600 for this assembly of parts (in my opinion) while there are other bezels around that offer a better starting position with less cost. |

He certainly wants top dollar for it, considering its condition. Pass

What should a decent mk1 cost? To me it feels very reasonable. Condition is not too bad and perfect ones are over 10k these days. Very hard to find better examples than this.

Is this the same insert/bezel found on the Tudor chronos? That is an expensive piece.
That gap in the plastic and bezel can’t be right? |
