Replace GMT TT oval link bracelet end links with 455 J?
The end links on my 1675/3 rattle around. They do not fit very well and rotate freely, but are original to the American made oval link bracelet. Is the 455 J from a Swiss bracelet an appropriate replacement? I have noticed the 455 J end links have a steel tube that the spring bars slide through, where the end links on the oval link bracelets have nothing, and are just bent metal with gaps to slide the gold links through to catch the spring bar.
BTW, for those who don't have an American made bracelet, they may or may not have a 50 stamped on one of the end links. Mine do not, and I don't have any pics of the end links unless you might need them in which case I will remove the bracelet and take a few pics. As they are somewhat costly, I would like to "know" before just buying random crap on EBAY or some other site. The image below is the 455 J end links I found on EBAY. They do look fake compared to other I have seen only because of the excessive welds but that is entirely beside the point. Although, I would like to know if these are fake too so I can conduct a legitimate search… I do appreciate any and all responses. |

450 end links will be the best fit. They are what the Swiss bracelets used.
