2001 Rolex 14233M Oyster Perpetual 34mm Fluted No Holes Steel and Gold Black Dial

The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a fixed yellow gold fluted bezel. The Oyster Perpetual is mounted on a 78353 Oyster bracelet with: brushed steel outer links, polished gold center links, and is secured by a deployant clasp. The deployant clasp is stamped with a “DE4” clasp code, which correlates with an April 2001 production date, meaning that the bracelet is original to the watch. The bracelet contains 4 screw links, and will comfortably fit a 7.15 inch wrist. The Rolex features a black dial with applied polished yellow gold stick hour markers and gold luminous hands. The movement used in the 14233 M is the Rolex calibre 3130 which features approximately 48 hours of power reserve. The movement is running well and passed an accuracy test prior to listing, and was also regulated by my watch maker. In addition, the watch also passed a 50 meter pressure test with flying colors.

The watch’s case has been preserved well, which is evident by the even lugs which are fairly thick and crisp. The bezel has also been preserved well with crisp flutes that appear to be untouched. The bracelet has stood the test of time well, and contains virtually no stretch, while the cornett on the clasp is extremely thick and crisp. I would rate the bracelet stretch 90%. However, there are some signs of previous wear on the watch, with the most noticeable being a nick on the bottom edge of the bezel above 10 o’clock and a nick on the polished side of the 10’clock lug. Both of these marks could easily be removed by a light polsih or laser filling, but I chose to leave them in order to preserve the watches originality. Overall the Rolex is in very good condition, and has stood the test of time well for a 20 year old watch.
