A "AVACADO" per day keeps the Dr AWAY

How do you eat your daily avocado..? Here we just remove from shell, cut it in half and eat it straight up with a couple of olives... Gotta love those avocados for sure...

Not daily. But I like them chopped up in salads, on toast or mushed into guacamole.

1. Cut in half.
2. Score each half in a fine # pattern being careful not to cut through the skin.
3. With a teaspoon, scoop out each half in 2 layers so there are 2 layers of cubes per half.
3. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
4. Sprinkle lightly with pink rock salt.
5. Eat with a choice of eggs, bacon, asparagus, sardines, leafy greens or just by itself.
6. Do not eat any carbs.

"You know what they say about apples—one a day will keep the doctor away—but a new study finds this old saying could apply to avocados, too. Penn State researchers found that eating just one avocado per day could help you ward off "bad" cholesterol—aka low-density lipoproteins (LDL)"

ok then!

Here, all along I thought I invented avocado toast.....

I prefer it on black bread (pumpernickel) with lox, capers and a slice of onion!

My 5 year old is an advocado toast monster. 1 advocado. mashed up, salt and pepper, spread it on toasty toast with a nice over easy egg - Love the yolk still runny. salted and served with some freshly squeezed OJ.

Not a fan of the taste so I just use 1/2 per day in my smoothie.

Definitely thickens things up.

Pretty simple one really.

Ice, banana, half an avocado, strawberries, yogurt, Primal Fuel Whey Powder Vanilla, walnuts and water. Sometimes MCT powder, sometimes collagen powder.

Not trying to do an ad for these guys but it is really good tasting protein powder. When we host our family in Hawaii in the fall EVERYONE wants a smoothie.

Unfortunately some protein powder tastes like chalk and ruins the smoothie.
