That's some serious flooding. I could not imagine what it like trying to live through that.

Remind me again why people live there?
We had flooding this past spring in western Canada that looked very similar to those pix. I'm a weather geek, and it seems with global warming, these weather extremes will become the norm rather than the exception. Last year in TO in July we had 30 days of +30C temps, when the norm is to have 5-10 days like that. This past January we had 20+ days of -20C weather when the average TO temp in January is abotu -5C. Bizarre stuff. |

That would suck. I agree with John, this weather is getting more and more strange each year.

The same thing happened to me once in Bombay. I had a Kawasaki bike at the time. The bike was half submerged in water and after the floods subsided, it just wouldn't start. Fortunately, I worked for an automobile company which had a full-fledged workshop. Got one of the mechanics to completely clean out the system, plugs, etc. and then she sprang to life. Yes, insurance will take care of serious damage in such cases. JJ
