Check your screws
periodically. I remember putting this screw in myself last summer and I used Loctite 222 but today I felt it had come out ever so slightly while I was running my finger over it. Luckily, it had only backed out about 1 full turn and was still very secure.
Also, many SA's in a rush to size a bracelet will not reapply Loctite like they should. Just remember to either do a visual check or run your finger over your screws periodically to ensure they are flush. It only takes a few seconds and may save you from an accident.

Thanks, I have a new Deepsea and went back a second time to my AD to have some adjustments made. I believe that the jeweler did not reapply when he switched links because the same thing happened to me. I took it back and the store manager personally took it and went over all the screws and reapplied Loktite. Hopefully this will not happen again.

Well I would have thought it would be common sense to check bracelet screws on any watch bracelet. As like all screws where movement and friction occurs they can unscrew, a simple task to do when cleaning bracelet weekly with soap and water..

I was told the same by the technician at the latest check I had at BMW. To check all screws and bolts of my car every now and then. Preferably once a week! Told me it’s a common sense.

I appreciate a reminder to check the screws now and again. Life is busy and sometimes the small things can be overlooked. Maybe you have been doing this too long.

Common sense, or not, I just wanted to share my experience with a screw that had Loctite 222 used on it. Maybe I didn't use enough of it, but it took about 1 year before it started to back out ever so slightly. Instead of all the "should I buy this" or "how much will this go up in value" threads, I thought this might help a fellow member, who doesn't regularly check their screws, from an unfortunate accident.
