BLNR Lunette differences (mk1 mk2 etc)
Is there such thing as a mk2 BLNR, like how we know different versions of the BLRO?

I’m sure the sellers will come up with a few definitions to up the price of their stock with minor manufacturing variances

In the real world seeing dials are made in three different factories now all owned by Rolex, there have always and always will be tiny variations on most all Rolex dials over the past 50 years. And most of this Mk stuff only exists in internet land and this is sometimes used by sellers with terms like rare Mk1 dial to extract more money from buyers. Just buy any BLNR you like and wear it and enjoy it in good health for many years thats far more important.

Possibly so but like firing most ceramic items batch to batch there could be tiny variation in colour especially the colour red. Try going to Rolex and asking for a Mk1,2,3,4 Pepsi insert as these items only exist on the internet.

They are very different and I some people here are adamant to say theyre not I don’t know why.
Just do a search of the first models compared to what they look like now. And the so called mark 3/4 are even darker. |

BLNR Lunette differences (mk1 mk2 etc)
Fact is, if you ask RSC for an insert replacement you will get what they provide. No choice of any personal color preference.
Another fact is that most (not all) insert photo comparisons suffer from different and non-comparable lighting conditions. But, there is undoubtedly a colour difference for 126710 BLRO inserts. Historically, threse tiny differences have been named Mk 1,2,3... One may like that or not, finally a personal choice and no general rule of anybody applies. |

Yes, I couldn’t see any differences neither. Interesting to see Rolex changing the Pepsi bezel 2 times and to Batman not at all. As far as I know the BLNR bezel was the fist multi color bezel, and unchanged from it’s release.

With respect, the differences in the BLRO bezel are not subtle.

Pretty sure there isn’t based on the bezel at least. The BLNR formula is much more stable. Adding a color to blue ceramic to get black is pretty straight forward and repeatable.
The BLRO formula is pretty high tech when you think about it, this will be a work in progress as chemical property tech advances. In a couple more years we might see a perfect standard red/blue bezel and all these early versions will be more desired even though now people don’t like it, so they say. Meanwhile, not a single one has ever been seen sitting on a shelf for purchase. |

They tried to revise it numerous times to make it a deeper blue which resulted in the MK3. IMHO the MK3 is the BEST bezel out of them all. I absolutely hated the MK1. MK2 was slightly better but still washed out. |

It's good to know these things exist so you don't shell out 10k (or A LOT more) on a watch when there's no denying the existence of other variants you might prefer. Additionally, we need to stop telling people there's no difference simply cause people who work in the business are trying to cash in or cause Padi has discontent for these nuisances of the hobby. Real world, fake world, internet world, fantasy land, etc., it's all the same. The market is the market. Generally speaking (not just in regards to the BLNR & BLRO) keep in mind there are plenty of people out there that aren't greedy and aren't dealers that deserve to know if they actually have something unique and or has a real demand. If we all listened to Padi about how these seemingly insignificant differences are worthless people would be taken advantage of all the time and lose out on money that will ultimately end up in the hands of those that are actually dishonest and greedy. |

To deny the fact that 126710 BLRO bezel inserts are slightly different in color? Would it not be better to objectively analyse these color differences and explain it to the members of this watch forum? Independent of any value discussion. What counts are the facts, not the endless and stubborn repetitions of empty phrases, which are often outside of any reality. |
