SS 116520 Daytona Advice
Back in 2010 when I got the call form my AD that the ss white dial Daytona I had been waiting about a year for had finally come in I was pretty ecstatic, as I knew this one was tough to come by and that it might become collectible down the road. Fast forward 11 years, and I'm thinking about selling, only I'm concerned about where to sell to get the best price and most reliable transaction-- auction? online retailer? jeweler? ebay? etc. Everything online seems scary to me because of all the scamming we constantly hear about. I reached out to some very well known auctioneers, but after learning more about how auctions work and talking to friends who have bought and sold at auctions, I'm starting to feel like feel like I'm gambling with them; I've been told that there can be game playing there, even though that would not have been my first impression.
For any owners who ever wanted to sell, what would be the preferred way to do it-- for peace of mind-- if not through a known reliable contact? Any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated. |
