Interlaken, Swiss AD

Just visited AD - Bucherer at Interlaken, Swiss. Pretty good inventory compared to Los Angeles (since LA has nothing in stock). 10+ TT DJs, about 10 ladies models. Nothing SS on display except black DJ with diamonds (10,500 CHF). They had RG DD with Olive Green Dial as display only, along with yellow, green and silver OP. Tudor section had two Black Black Bucherer Blue. Beautiful weather BTW

I was staying at the Victoria-Jungfrau Hotel where the shop is located...right outside the hotel. My wife bought me a SS Air King & I got her a Baume & Mercer Riveria there in 1999. I love Interlaken..a perfect location to getting to everywhere in Switzerland by train. AND the Hotel, one of my favorite in the world. AND yes, I got the spoon!!

Was supposed to go there for hiking in 2020... then the pandemic hit.
Plan to visit in 2023.

We bought our 2 watches there in 1999 while on vacation from Austin Texas.
They were quite happy to do business with us.
Also, got our 15% VAT back when we flew home.

Even for us locals, that hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Don’t miss the Velo Café in a little back alley either, best brownies in the greater area. Instead of doing the tourist thing and go up to Jungfraujoch, do what the locals do and go up to Schilthorn, wonderful view on Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Oh, that was about watches?

Schilthorn > Jungfraujoch. Lived in Zug Switzerland for many years and always took our visitors to Schilthorn.

Yes, the hotel is great...pools, restaurant & the bar with the best selection of Cuban cigars. Would love to go back. We went to Interlaken 3 times & stayed there 2 times....Rank it with the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel..My # 1 & 2!!

And yes, went to Piz Gloria to see 100 peaks.
