Anyone own a new Bronco?

Saw a few of these at the beach over Labor Day weekend. Previously had not interest in the revamped Bronco but I have to say after seeing a couple I'm intrigued. Anyone own one of these? If so what are your impressions? I'm a previous Wrangler owner and like the idea of a viable alternative to the sea of Jeeps out there.

I saw one last week while traveling in Maine. Did a double take!
Nice looking vehicle.

I haven seen any in the wild yet.
I like them. I've spent entirely too much time on the website "building" my own.
Maybe when I'm ready to buy that 4runner I keep promising myself "someday" the new Bronco will steal my heart instead.

Ford is having a hell of a time with the new Bronco.

I would suggest that you do some research.

It could save you a lot of headaches.

I've seen a couple in the wild and they did indeed turn my head, but as Grady mentions, I have read not so great things. I won't be buying one. They look cool though.

not great reviews and i think they really missed the mark on the aesthetic personally. 60's/70's broncos are some of the most iconic vehicles of all time. i would skip this bronco

Don't worry I'm not buying one tomorrow, but what issues are they having with them?

My sister in law has one so got to see it in person for the first time. I’m not a big car guy so my appreciation is superficial but I was impressed.

Ford in general has had a lot of problems with their vehicles, especially new runs or model updates. I wouldn't even consider one until its at least in its 2nd year of production. Give them a chance to workout the kinks.

Love the look and styling.

The reviews are not great tho.

I hope to someday have one.

Hmmm definitely looks like a good idea to wait until the second or even third production year for this vehicle. That's too bad about all the strange issues but the good news is all look very fixable for the '22 models and beyond.

I typically don't buy a first year production vehicle from any manufacturer. Great looking truck. I'll wait a couple years and see what's going on. I'm a Jeep owner currently so I'm used to a variety of questionable quality issues LOL

People seem down on the bronco. I see a fair amount of reviews on YouTube of the bronco versus jeep and even the Defender and let’s just say the Bronco does well. I can speak to the mechanical aspects but if it turns out to be safe, I may bite. My parents owned a bronco in the early 90’s and it was as capable as my 4 runner.

I saw one about a month back on the road. Looked pretty cool even though it was OJ white lol

Stinks they are having QC issues. A lot of guys have had orders for seemingly forever for this truck. I’ll stick to my Japanese 4x4s even though they are ubiquitous slow and fuel hogs.

I saw one a couple weeks ago, it was the base model and I wasn't too impressive. I really think you need to deck it out to make it look good.

I have read some and from what I have seen, one video the bronco stomps a defender which was not able to complete the course. So there is that, and the something about a hardtop.

It depends on which Bronco you're talking about. They have the "normal" ones and the "baby" ones (the Sport models).

I think the standard Bronco's look pretty good when decently attired, but the baby bronc's can sort of look like many other small SUV's. My opinion is they should have just made one line of them, instead of two distinctly different sized versions.

Their roll out/launches as of the past few years are not going well (Aviator/Explorer, etc..) from a QA/QC standpoint. New (ish) CEO, but obviously some culture or deeper issues that haven't been resolved at a corporate level.

I have only seen the Sport in person and they look pretty meh. The Sasquatch on the other hand looks pretty awesome and has some good specs and will have Jeep looking over their shoulder. I personally wouldn't buy one the first year or two though.

Anyone own a new Bronco?

Was sent the email to pre order one through my local Ford dealer. I wasn’t in love with it at the time and just couldn’t get myself to get a new vehicle. If they made it with the big v8 (6.2L) I’d have been all over it. May get a base model with Sasquatch package in the next couple of years or whatever version they hopefully come put with that has a v8.

All these problems, but dealers still want people to pay over.

Sigh….

I think you are referring to the sport. It is tiny.

Not a huge fan. They’ve been out for a while now.

Own one of these in Badlands Sasquatch form and love it. I also own Land Rovers. I feel the Bronco is similar to what would’ve been made with the Defender had Ford still owned LR. The capability for the price is amazing. Good alternative imo to the Rubicon. Very comfy on road and not much worse than modern Land Rivers for ride quality. Off-Road features are handy. On the fly sway bar disconnect plus front and rear lockers and this vehicle imo hits all the marks. I’d suggest spending some time with one before listening to all the chatter.

I’ve seen a few in the wild and multiples sitting on dealer lots. I’m wondering if they’re so hot, why are they sitting for any length of time?

Assuming you’re talking bronco and not bronco sport many dealers have demos that they are not allowed to sell for a certain number of months.

As a member of the Jeep fraternity, I’m not impressed with Broncos. There’s a reason it was a slow speed chase.

To me no vehicle is as iconic as a tarted up Jeep and no vehicle can make my heart go pitter-patter like a Jeep Wrangler in its various iterations.

Bronco…..pffffft. Poser.

And a Sasquatch package…..if you wanted a real “package” you’d get the Chewbacca package.

Just saying’.
