Traded my DaytonaC for a Hublot.. I think I made a mistake..

Nah I’m just kidding…. Hope everyone is having a great week so far!

The threads suck lately, so have a laugh on me. Or get frustrated and use the little banging head against a wall emoji. All good. Life is short, have fun!

In all honesty though, can someone argue against this being a stunning watch, brand name aside?

Hublot makes some gaudy pieces for sure but I always thought their Classic Fusion line looks really good, my favorite being this sunburst blue dial.

Could well have been a huge upgrade.
Hublot make some pieces way above Rolex level including tourbillon models, actual high horology!

Those blue classic fusions look great with a suit. I would buy grey below retail if I wanted a travel, beater watch.

You're getting called a lot of names by people just reading the title of your post. 'I can't believe he traded a Daytona for a Hublot... what a/an _________'.

It's your watch of course, do what you want. But it was somewhat of a relief to find out you were just kidding.

The 42mm is false advertising, it actually wears like a 39. I don't mind the movement at all but I do admit the price is a bit much for that movement.

I'd rather own a Zenith Defy.

Stunning is definitely not the right word for that watch. Looks more like a cheap AP knock off. The dial color might be the only thing it has going for it.

Well, the concept for the RO, Nautilus and Cold Fusion is essentially the same. However the similarities has become more apparent, after the AP started producing the RO with a strap instead of a bracelet.

Why do they remind me of the watches my local Texaco would sell in the 80's....like some mock Cartier design gone bad.

Wow the snobbery is high in this thread. I don't see how this thread is any better then most of the other threads lately.

No, that one is extremely nice-without me looking up the price anyway!

Yes the dial is the ONLY thing it has going for it-but such a lovely dial.

I prefer the Zenith Defy (I had the Skeleton version), same blue dial in Titanium. They seem to even share the same strap, not surprising though as both brands are under LVMH.
