Why so many 2015 APs for sale?

In searching the past few months for my first AP purchase, I've noticed MY2015 more frequently than any other production year.


Why are so many Royal Oaks and Offshores that are currently for sale 2015? Was there a flood of inventory or some other market event from that year?

At that time the market was a bit soft and a lot of pieces were being heavily discounted, it’s likely that now with the market being very strong for APs people are getting out of them and doubling their money at minimum.

Due for a service and figure might as well sell? People thinking about maybe eventually selling figure, why not sell now before I have to pay for a service or the warranty is up?
