Anyone have any experience with this reference for the offshore collection in gray with the blue sub dials? I am going in to see and potentially get one of them and wanted so any feedback on how the watch wears, looks, etc. would be much appreciated!

I just picked up this watch, and here is my review after the first few days of ownership.

To start, I’m enjoying the watch very much so far.

I owned both the 44mm CE (similar color scheme) and the Ghost in the past. It’s been a while since I have had them, but thinking back as well as referring back to old pictures, I don’t believe the vertical brushing was as prominent on those bezels. I very well may be wrong. But even if I am, what I can say with certainty is the bezel on this new 43mm is extremely well done. The vertical brushing is perfect; it is noticeable and impressive on the wrist, especially the way the light plays with it.

In addition, IMHO, the dial is much nicer than the prior 44mm mega tapisserie dial. The vertical brushing on each square as well as the little”x” that connects them adds a whole new dimension to the watch. I was luke warm on the “x” when I saw both the stock and the media pictures when the watch was announced, but on the wrist, the additional subtle touch the “x” offers is fantastic; I’m a big fan.

The other plus for me is the contrast the grey CE bezel has with the beautiful silvery Ti case. It adds another element of refinement and design achievement.

This watch also wears better than the 44mm. I believe the lug to lug is shorter so it wears very well on the wrist. It’s not small, but it’s also a much more refined big (as it’s designed to be) watch.

Finally, the pushers on the new 43mm are more seamless than the 44mm. And they, too, have a vertical (horizontal) brushing - such a great touch.

Here are a few comparison pics of the new 43mm and the old 44mm CE on my wrist. Look at the dials - the new one lights up!

I am jonsing to see the IO.

What I will say after handling the Taupe is that this FEELS like a 40k watch. Sometimes I'll confess I'll pick up a RO and think to myself is this really a 25k watch? (Hype and secondary market values aside). I also go that feeling picking up Patek Calatrava's, like the 5127. And I'm saying this coming from the 'never' ROO camp while the ROO was 42 and 44.
