My AD said...lol (for the skyD owners)

Not the typical “what my AD said” post. But after reading on TRF about being able to order a Jubilee for my skyD, I called my AD to see if I can get one later in the year. He said Rolex won’t allow that. He said since my watch was out before the jubilee was available, i won’t be able to interchange parts. (Disagreement in reference numbers) is what he told me. Although that doesn’t make much sense as I thought both mine, and the jubilee are both 326933.

So what’s the deal here? I heard from numerous people I should be allowed to purchase a jubilee bracelet.

Regarding the "disagreement in reference numbers" -- although the first part of the reference number would be the same no matter which bracelet is on the watch when purchased, the FULL reference number reflects which bracelet came with the watch. For example, the full reference number of my watch is 279171-0001 (https://assets.rolex.com/watches/lad...79171-0001.pdf) and it has a Jubilee bracelet and Sundust dial. Reference number 279171-0002 (https://assets.rolex.com/watches/lad...79171-0002.pdf) has the Oyster bracelet and Sundust dial. If you have the tags that came with the watch when it was originally sold, the little white tag will have the full reference number on it.

And Rolex will know by the serial number what the watch is supposed to have, and what will be allowed to be changed.

My AD said the opposite. I would be able to order the jubilee but probably not for a year or two because of the backlog of watches. The SkyD will accommodate either the jubilee or the oyster… same size lugs.

Gotcha. Thanks for that info. I do have the white tag, and if I recall I do remember there being some extra numbers on there!

My UK AD has told me three times that they will order me a Jubilee for my TT Sky Dweller in 2022. They are waiting for part numbers and prices, which they expect will slide into circulation with little fanfare.

Your AD told you the opposite. One of them is right. It won't be long before we find out which.

I think this will change in 2022. Ask again closer to the time.

I put a request with my AD for the SS Jubilee for my Sky-D - mid September and was told they were able to place the order with Rolex but it would take approx. 6 - 8 weeks to arrive. So I guess let's see if it arrives in 2 - 4 more weeks, as parts are taking forever nowadays.

Sounds like they have the part numbers. That's encouraging. What will it cost?

you can flip the jubilee for 2k+ profit instantly, why would any AD offers you free money for no reason? at the end of the day, AD selects who gets the jubilee, the one who they thought deserves it.

My skyD can technically already be flipped for about 2k profit. The jubilee TT models are selling about 2-3k more than my oyster at the moment. If I spend 2k on a jubilee band, it’s not changing much from a profitable stand point?

The part numbers are below:

SS Jubilee - 62220
TT Jubilee - 62223

Cost will be I'm guessing $2,100+ for the SS version, TT version will probably be $3,500+.

Some info I got today, after picking up my SkyD jubilee...

They won't order jubilees yet for oyster owners, BUT they WILL order Oyster bracelets for Jubilee owners, which I just did... costs about 1.5k USD.

And by the way... I'm so in love with it!

that's because your relationship with your AD is not good enough.
