Spy-ware

Been using this program for some time,it used to be called Giant before
Microsoft bought them out.Must say it works really well, found stuff that
adware and a few others missed.Highly recommend but if you download it
it will check to make sure your version of Windows is legit.

Interesting so, your saying it will crash your puter if your running an unauthorized version of Microsoft? Have you tried other spy wear programs paid or free?

Before you download it it checks to see if your window copy is legit.Windows updates does the same now,but there are ways around it.Yes used Mcafee
paid for and the free Adware6,but IMO the Microsoft anti spyware is better.
It stops spyware before it can get on to your system, and updates it self.

PC Mag review >

It's a bit lengthy but worth the read for those with an interest in the genre.

I have it installed on a couple of my Windows machines, and it seems to work very well. It has caught some things that SpyBot did not catch. But then Spybot has caught things that the "new" Microsoft product missed. I use both.

Another way of going through onto the internet is via "Mozilla Firefox". I have it on mine and it sure takes care of all the virus stuff.

AVG is also excellent and comes highly recommended.

Both are free.

Have a good virus program and a firewall, but spy-ware can still get on to
your PC.Would always have a antispyware program running as well. Microsofts
own is good and free, adware spy-bot etc all good programs as well.Dont
make much difference what browser you use,it can still get on to your PC.
