Cleaning a Scamosciato strap
Hi all - I have a green Scamosciato strap that is looking in need of a little clean.
Is there a way to gently clean and then recondition / re-oil a Panerai Scamosciato strap ? Thanks. FC |

I have absolutely no experience with cleaning this strap but after looking at it online what I would do is get a terry wash cloth very very lightly damp with warm water and simply brush the strap lengthwise using the tooth of the terry cloth like a brush. Then I would go over it again with a dry portion of the washcloth.

Also, I think the above method with a very soft bristle toothbrush might work as well. Consider distilled water as the stuff embedded into the material will leach into the mineral-free particle-free and distilled water. It's about the surface tension.
