Palm motif dial anyone?
Does anyone have a DJ Palm dial? Would love to see some pics!
Also, anyone know what availability is like from AD’s? I’d love to buy one actually. Doesn’t seem like a very popular option, but love the uniqueness. That, and I really only wear Hawaiian shirts so seems like a great match for me! |

I had the chance to buy a TT SS/YG palm dial a few weeks ago, but passed. I'd rather have another (DJ36 TT) piece, which they ordered for me (or so they say).
To me, and over here in Europe, it seems that TT palm motif models in both SS/YG and SS/RG are slowly trickling into AD's. They are quite available when they come in, but the rollout of the new releases is rather slow. I've seen photos of these watches in the window (and yes, they can be bought; it's not an exhibition-only model over here). My AD said that availability of the new models should be a little bit better in 2022, which makes sense. |

Before buying, take a look at both the green and the silver dial versions. They seem to catch light much differently.

Haven't seen one in person but it's a very good looking dial.
Don't expect it to be an easy find at an AD. |

This is a perfect example of Rolex doing something daring... but letting their conservatism stand in the way something truly exceptional.
Imagine this dial but with ALL the text removed OR maybe only “ROLEX.” It would be a totally different watch instead of just (no pun intended) another wacky Datejust dial. The unnecessary text cripples the impact of the dial. |

I’d like to see one in person before I comment, but from pictures I’ve seen they look interesting.

I really like the green one with smooth bezel and oyster bracelet. My AD has not had a single one come in, but I have expressed interest to at least see it.

Beautiful dial but who (except ladies) in true honesty will wear it having Sub, GMT etc. One month and honey moon will be over. By the way grey market price is ridiculous.

Struggling with those. I’m getting Gene Hackman in The Firm.

Palm motif dial anyone?
Talk about a “to each his own” watch. When these were released, I honestly thought they were a photoshop job gone wrong, or some kind of April Fool’s joke.
I guess the SS version looks clean enough. But it reminds me of something I’d see in a beach town souvenir shop. And that TT one? Ooh boy, just plain ugly. Sorry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
