Vacheron Constantin Everest

I was very lucky to get the call on this one …
I had to wait patiently for lockdown to end to pick it up, and it was definitely worth the wait.

Now to find a mountain to climb!

Wow! First one I’ve seen an owner receive. The level of envy I have for you and other owners is off the charts. It’s the top pick for a next watch, but alas missed out. Enjoy it!!

It’s a limited edition, 150 pieces. It wasn’t really ever for sale, it was offered to me under the condition of a signed confidentiality agreement a few days before the watch was officially released.

Congratulations! Stunning piece!

Hoping at least that the grey rubber strap might eventually become available separately.

Very confused why they only made 300 of these. The feed back out on this edition was very high. I’m not really interested in any other VC but this one. That dual time edition was lovely. I’m certain they will go second market $100k+.

They're jealous that other brands have ultra-hype on part with the latest cryptocurrency, and wanted to create some of that hype for themselves.

They also like leaving money on the table.

And they also like to annoying and upset die hard collectors.

My theory, the Everest release is a precursor of what’s to come. The whole release was a PR exercise to build momentum for a new line. The hype was massive, the market acceptance was off the charts for VC, exactly what they wanted.

I think we are about to see a new overseas line similar to what the Royal Oak Offshore is to AP.

IMO something big is brewing. The Everest was just the start.

You're giving them too much credit.

This is a Richemont portfolio company.

Richemont has proven over the past decade to not have any idea how to properly run a watch brand.
