Slate/Rhodium DJ41 Picture Request

Can I see some real world shots of the Datejust 41 in slate (formerly rhodium)? Curious to get your opinions on this dial color. Looking at a fluted jubilee but wondering about the color. Is it a nice rich grey? Or does it look washed out at times? Any first hand experience is appreciated. Thanks in advance

That Wimbledon is gorgeous. Thanks for posting. Both dials are same color of slate correct? I'm looking at the baton version. Love the Wimbledon but my eyes have an easier time with the lumed baton dial and I'm not getting any younger LOL.

You're interested in the same configuration as me, fluted, jubliee, slate dial. good choice! I'm still waiting for the "call" and its only been 1.5 months.

smooth bezel and oyster, not fluted and jubilee, but I think the dial looks great and would look great in either combination

I just got "the call" and checking it out tomorrow. I asked originally for slate then I said if they get blue or black I'd be interested too. Well the slate has come in! Never seen the slate dial in person so hoping I like it. Looks amazing in photos

It is a great dial and if you don't like I'll be shocked.

very shock if you don't like it in person but for the slight chance that you don't...lets connect on how I can acquire the piece instead

I'm trying to grab it for my wedding next May....hopeful I get it on wrist before then.

Here's mine, smooth on Jubilee. I originally wanted a black dial, but the slate came in and I'm really liking it.

I can't say anything about DJs as they're not currently in my collection however I long the Rhodium and Steel on both my Daytona and Yachtmaster (the silver OP41 comes pretty close as well). It's a great dial.

Still in love with mine, Mike. 0% chance you see it in person tomorrow and don't like it. I'm looking forward to the incoming post already haha

I tried both slate and blue last year and they both are really amazing. I love the slate more than blue for this one. I still want to kick myself for not pulling a trigger on it.

Thanks.

I’ve never actually had the chance to compare the baton dial version to my Wimbledon but I’m guessing they will basically be the same dial just different hour markers.

You will love it I’m sure - Rolex don’t really make any dial that’s not beautiful in the flesh.

They all look so different in reality than in pictures taken under harsh studio lights

Good luck

Slate/Rhodium DJ41 Picture Request

Love love love this watch. Strong contender for an “only” watch. Highly recommend the fluted bezel and jubilee, I was worried they would make the watch too flashy but that’s not at all the case. Really a versatile watch and slate is the best dial color

I disagree. Looks like it fits him just fine to me. Clearance on each end of the lugs, bracelet easily visible. No overhang. I think he made a great choice. Remember the "41" is really only a 39.5 mm watch.
