First Nautilus

So how does it work when I want to get my first PM Nautilus?

When I first requested for a Royal Oak everyone says I have to buy a bunch of garbage, but the boutique assigned me my personal rep and he never even brought it up. Just took my request and a year later I got mine.

How long ago was that? It is probably at least a year ago?

I was able to get a RO without much hassle about 18 months ago. Put down my name and the watch showed up a few months later. It was not a 15202 blue dial as it was hot at that time already.

Today, the same boutique is implying that if u want any RO, you need to buy a code 11.59. I was offered the re-edition to “improve” relationship.

Time has changed.

If you are looking for a 5711r without any prior history, I would guess most AD would expect you to build a relationship with purchases equal to the difference of grey and list price. it is not a rule and depends a lot of the location you are at. If you are working with a metro area dealer in an affluent city, the bar can be higher. I recently was trying to refer someone to my PP AD, and he did not want to pick up anymore first time customers since he already has his hands full. I imagine this is not an isolated case and it just shows that it is a hard time to acquire watches these days.

so sounds like different ADs will either make you buy garbage first or they'll say ok and you just wait X amount of years eh?

Not fair to call any watch "garbage". It just isn't the models you want.

So you asked for one about two years ago and I assume it was not a 15202ST in blue. If so, it was not that hard to get from them.

Try it now.

Well, I'm heading back to the AD to request a couple more watches next year.

So about Patek, where do I find the prices for the Nautilus?
I was int heir website and I don't think I saw them even for the normal watches

The price is on the website but they “hide” under the “arrow”. So you will need to click on it to get the price to be shown

No offense if you got no purchase history with an AD your chances are less than 1% to get any model 5711 for msrp.
