Insurance
Hi All
Got the long-awaited call today for a Datejust 41 Fluted bezel on an oyster bracelet with a black dial. The problem I have is that I'm 20 and some of the companies I have found require you to be 26 years old. Looking for some advice on insurance in the UK and which companies you use? Thanks in advanced |

Is that dilemma actually stopping you from buying the watch?

Firstly, congrats on the watch. Secondly, your home owners insurance should have built in Coverage for some jewellery. Mine was $20k. Anything above that I had to pay a premium. Check with your insurance company first

Does that policy have a maximum limit per piece or can it be $20K..Mine was limited so i got a rider and listed each item with agreed upon replacement value.

Thats a great point. Im pretty sure it was 20k without a limit to any one piece. When I got my second watch I upped my insurance to 50k and again pretty sure it was not limited to any one piece. I will definitely call to double check. Note OP: ask your insurance company the same questions. That is, you may have 20k insurance for jewellery but they may only cover you for 5 k for a watch, 5 k for rings, 5 k for bracelets, etc Also, things may be different here in Canada then the UK. good luck Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
