Is it ever....
Kia ora everyone,
I have a newbie question. I've seen many posts and pics of people who have changed the bezel insert in their LV from green to black. Is it ever acceptable to change a normal black sub's bezel from black to green? If not why? Just curious. Thanks for your time.

Some will say yes, some will say no. I say that there's nothing wrong with it. The only downside is that the LV has the maxi dial (with the black insert looks stunning) and the regular 16610 does not. So the green makes the watch look a little off to those "in the know". But that said, it's your watch, do what you want with it. I have considered getting the green bezel at times just to get that Kermit feeling.

I am always thinking about changing it from black to green and back.
It is a little hard to find an original green bezel here in Italy.

Isn't is really tough to get a hold of the green insert unless you own the LV Sub? Sorry if this is off topic but if I could get a hold of an authentic Rolex green insert would it fit a Sea Dweller?

It is very tough to get an authentic green bezel, you must return the original green bezel for the replacement.

I see nothing wrong with wearing the green bezel insert on a regular sub. In fact, I think it would look nicer since I don't like the maxi dial. The only issue would be obtaining the green bezel insert and would it fit on a regular sub or is the size different?

Kia ora,
Thanks everyone for your replies. I never thought that the green insert might be had to come by. Thanks for the information. I have to admit, I do like the maxi dial/black insert combo
