Punched papers missing AD stamp

I am looking at a 5-digit day date from the mid 1980s, but one detail about the included papers gives me pause. There is no AD stamp, only a date.

Is this something I should be worried about? All other papers I have seen have both an AD stamp, and the date of purchase.

Thanks in advance.

There are some genuine punched papers with nothing filled in, not even a date stamp.

The main thing to check on Chrono24 is if the seller is trusted and if the Day-Date is genuine.

If so, and if you’d buy the DD without papers at the price you negotiated, then nothing to be concerned about.

For a vintage watch, papers could mean everything. If you get original papers, full set, receipts, etc. be prepared to pay 5-8k over asking. To me, I could care less, however, I’m not a collector. I buy from a reputable dealer (one) and he takes care of me. I do go a bit crazy sometimes and find a diamond in the rough on sleezeBay, although, those are few and far between.

B&P are worth a couple of hundred bucks to me. I certainly wouldn't be paying an extra 5-8k.

I've owned four Day-Dates. For me it's the condition of the watch that counts.

I’m a huge fan of purchasing box and papers with every single one of my watches, and I’ve done that over 20 years. To me, it’s worth it. With regard to the question by OP, that omission would not cause me not to buy a Wash it was an otherwise great condition that I wanted

Box and papers are a plus for me and worth extra $ but ofc condition of the watch itself is more important.
