Kind of a specific question for Overseas 3 owners
I'm considering an Overseas 4500V (black dial), and asked my AD to put me on the list. Who knows when it'll come, but I'm hoping a decent spend history gets me one inside of a year. (The SA said as much.)
That said, I've got a 6.75" wrist and am wondering if this thing is just going to be too much watch. Because the AD is out of state (I have no VC dealers here in MD), I won't have a chance to try it on first. I had a 41mm Sub, which I sold after a few months---and I'm enjoying a SMP300c right now, but having the same beef with it that I had with the Rolex: just so much clasp. One of the appeals of the Overseas is the hidden-clasp bracelet. I think what I've decided is that I want a stainless sports watch, but I don't want the huge diver's clasp. The 41mm case doesn't concern me too much, but the 50mm+ lug-to-lug span that people talk about, with the case spanning out a bit to the bracelet, does give me pause. I've read/watched some reviews that say it wears smaller than its numbers suggest; others suggest the exact opposite. There's an old WuS thread that touches on this same issue, but I'm looking for additional data-points, if possible. Can any of the (new) Overseas owners provide a down-the-barrel shot of the watch on a sub-7" wrist, so I can see if/how the lugs protrude? I realize this comes down to wrist-shape as much as anything. For what it's worth, the Omega, which is 42mm, fits me really well---it's just the clasp I dislike. Thanks in any case! |

So stunning in blue.
Not to be greedy, but any chance of seeing a shot “down the barrel,” as they say? Like the attached? (Not my photo.) |
