Generally i agree. However, even a Trusted Seller had to have a first sale. PayPal will give you a little protection, just be sure not to use friends & family.

That would depend on what kind of payments are accepted

Fwiw, there is no buying here.
They simply have a section that connects you to sellers. There is no affiliation. As said above, make certain you know who your buying from. Then cash wire is the way to go.

I pay using credit card for the points. I pay it in full every month anyway so why not reap the benefits.

+1 and then I use the points to buy watches and then get points for buying watches. Can’t loose as long as you pay it off diligently every month. Like I tell my wife I’m getting the watches for free!

Double this.
At my last wire transaction, the bank teller told me that once the money is wired, it can’t be retrieved. I knew this already, but I was glad to see that at least at my bank, the tellers are informing their customers. That being said, if the credit card and wire price were the same, I’d buy with a credit card. I, too, pay off my balance every month. I bought a vintage watch through Chrono24 last summer from a private seller, and used my credit card. The price was the same, and it made sense with their escrow service. I asked a lot of questions of the seller before the transaction, and was satisfied that he was legit (which he was). |
