This just made me smile

I’ve always loved seeing a chef with a nice watch, this one just made me feel warm inside - it appears Thomas Keller wears a platinum Daytona.

I chatted watches briefly with him late last year while dining at French Laundry, it appears he has multiple Daytonas, he was wearing a white 116500LN at the time, but also mentioned he has a few PM Daytona references…I guess this is one of them, great find.

Wow…thanks for sharing. What we’re you wearing when you met him?

That profession especially pays attention to the very fine details so it’s no wonder he would appreciate a impeccable watch.

I was wearing a black 116500LN, which he said he never purchased because he found it too tough to read, but I think he cracked a joke about his eyes getting worse with age

I took my wife to Per Se for her fiftieth, what an experience! TK emerged from the kitchen a few times to ask our opinions on several courses he was tinkering with. What floored us was he immediately responded to what we had to say by incorporating our suggestions into additional dishes that we, he and his staff then sampled! I can’t tell you how many courses were served, but what I do remember was finally leaving at nearly 2am! Unforgettable evening!

UK Chef James Martin does his Saturday morning TV show wearing a number of different Rolex watches, his current fav is a BLRO, prior to that he was wearing a white dial 116500, he also appears to have a number of PM Daytona's on leather straps when he is away from the studio on assignment..

A number of his guest chefs have a liking for a good watch as well as Omega's, AP, PP and Panerai have all put in appearances along with a good sprinkling of Rolex.

It would seem that Chefs have great watch tastes as well as producing great tasting food.
