Biggest incoming so far !

I called my AD some weeks ago asking for delivery time on an Rose Gold Daytona, he said 6 months, right after that he said he was going to receive this beauty, apparently for another customer, I said I was interested, a few days later he said that I could have the watch but his boss had to approve my candidature. I had to send work position, name of my companies and boom Yesterday I was approved to get the watch. Definitely miracles happens and everything happened for a simple call asking for a Rose Daytona. Don’t stop dreaming!

That is one great AD man. Congrats. A hot watch, but one of the best Rolex dials!

They want to know your work position! Seriously what is going on? What if you are a genuine watch lover but they don't like your occupation, does that mean you're not worthy, jeez man these AD's. What next, you have to show your bank statements, details of all assets and total net worth.

Stunning watch though, congratulations

Apparently before they give this type of watches they want to know exactly who you are….

If my AD or any sales "professional" asked me specifics about my employment outside of casual conversation I'd politely decline. Cool watch but it's a watch not a mortgage.

Well they are giving you a watch and 100k surplus, so I understood, questions were coming from his boss not my AD Sales Executive.

Rose Gold with green dial? I did not know they made one. Sure seems like there are tons of YG/Green dial threads once the watch hit $125k at DavidSW!

Stunning watch and huge congrats. Makes sense I’m asking for personal details - people may not like it but these guys are merely trying to make sure they know enough about the buyer to minimise risk of selling to a flipper.

Enjoy it my friend.

Quite the incoming, indeed!

I wouldn’t mind the AD inquiring for personal details. They’re simply doing their due diligence and making sure the individual they’re offering the timepiece to is legit. As you said, they’re giving you a bag of $100k essentially.

I’m sure most who are opposing would change their tune if they were offered such a watch.

I get the questioning. My SA already knows my background since we’ve known each other 20+ years. For a piece of this rarity and obvious “extra value” I think qualifying you is fair game. If you find that offensive the grey dealers will be glad to sell you one, no questions asked, for $125K.

Congrats OP! Questions seem intrusive until one looks at the current state of the market.

Ha! its the ADs who sell directly to the flippers most of the time anyways and knowingly. None of their business what you do for a living unless they actually care or they're your real friend. I get asking someone out of genuine interest but having to "submit" this info to them is ridiculous. I had an AD associate once tell me they had to "beg" their manager to allocate a certain watch for me...games galore abound I guess.

You stated your opinion twice already in here. No one cared enough to respond the first time. Let the man enjoy his newest acquisition and post your grievances in your own thread.
