1971 Rolex OP date ref. 1500 replacement crystal?
Hey y’all, I have had a 71 OP date ref. 1500 for about a year and worn the hell out of it, lots of scratches going on. I bought the watch from Hodinkee without box or papers so I don’t know if the crystal is original or not. The cyclops does not align perfectly with the date so I am thinking it’s a replacement.
My question is, does anyone know a good person to replace them AND does anyone know best place to buy an original replacement or a reproduction one that is of good quality. I have no plans to ever sell the watch so reproduction is fine by me if it’s food quality. |

Most local watchmakers will be able to source an aftermarket crystal and install it. After battery changes, it's the most common thing they do.

You could pretty easily do this yourself. Lots of guides and videos on how.
