Just picked up my first Panerai

1950 8 day GMT PAM 233 Dot Dial. Loving it. This watch has every feature I admire in Panerai:

44 mm Case
Domed Crystal
1950 Case
TM on the Crown Guard
Sandwich Dial
Date
Sapphire Back
Manual Wind
Small Seconds
GMT function

One of my favorites from Panerai, mostly due to domed crystal … solid choice!

I just bought a 233 too and love it for all the same reasons:

The 44 mm is the outer limit on size for me.
The domed crystal is why I chose the 233 over the 1090
The 1950 case is classic Panerai
The sandwich dial is another why I chose the 233 over the 1090
The sapphire back is the 3rd reason why I chose the 233 over the 1090
Manual wind Panerai's are classic
GMT function makes the price of a Rolex Batman seem even more outrageous

Given their discontinuation in 2020, I am so glad I got my 233 before they became scarce.
