Ladies Rolex

Hi all,

I’m looking to get the wife a DJ 31mm, fluted bezel.
Thinking the pink green or aubergine(purple) dial.
Don’t really have an idea of what ladies datejust is highly sort after in the market.

Interested to know what’s considered popular and hard to get ladies datejust in 31mm, so I can manage the lead time.

Check out your local AD. Every now and then I go in and see a few women’s DJ for sale. The trusted sellers here on TRF do sell new or like new ladies’ watches.

Also, what colors would your wife like? If she’s not a fan of purple or pink, that may be a color to avoid. Last year my AD had the ladies’ DJ with the pink dial and daisy flowers in stock. There’s just no way I would ever enjoy wearing that watch. The female SA at the AD has the chocolate dial DJ and loves it.

Dial color, bracelet (Jubilee or oyster), bezel (fluted or smooth), indices (Roman, stick, Arabic) and metal (TT/SS/YG etc.) are all so personal.

Good luck! You are very thoughtful!

Honestly you are at the mercy of a particular reference allocation that isn’t spoken for or as mentioned above ask to order a specific watch that you want. I’m still waiting for my wife’s DJ31 6 months later and have basically been told end of year hopefully at this point

I attempted to order the SS 36 purple dial for my wife in February. I was told no more special orders. If they happen to get the particular reference you want in stock they'll give you a call. I check back in every month or so.

36 in purple I can image would be a challenge. Good luck

I’ve already worked out she likes the three colours I mentioned and like flute with jubilee.
I’m in sydney, the ADs here only have sales associates and exhibition models in store..haha

Even ladies watches are in short supply it seems anymore. Used to be able to pick your flavor and get within a few weeks max

Last May we managed to get one of the last order in for my wife’s DJ31 Chocolate dial. I requested my BLNR at the same time.
Mine came in June and hers not until late November. Unfortunately the past availability of ladies DJs laying around the AD is just not the case anymore, especially for more unique configurations…so I would make your request as soon as possible…good luck!

My wife picked a TT purple dial from stock at an AD local to me at the backend of last year, it was a diamond dot bezel not fluted which I assumed would have made it easier to come by.

Just a note on the dial,I was not a fan to start with but has grown over time.

My wife had a look on website and showed me what she would like and i ordered it in Jan. 16-20 weeks apparently.

Fluted, jubilee, TT RG, rose dial with diamond markers

Last year they had it in stock on two occasions I visited AD and my wife loved it.

My wife had worn a "Ladies" TT DJ for many years until about 3 years ago when we were buying my DJ41 jubilee/fluted/white. She liked it so much that we told the AD to let us know about one for her. 2 weeks later we picked up an SS DJ41 smooth bezel Jubilee. She even talked them into switching the dial to blue sticks (+$700).

The AD mentioned that "man sizing" was getting more & more popular with ladies these days.

She loves it!
