Official introduction of my new Datejust Concentric Blue
I wanted a new Datejust for a few months now and my heart was set on 116200 white roman dial with jubilee bracelet. I visited a few AD's in my area but none had one in stock.
I tried on a few different ones but nothing made me want to part with my cash. A little later I bought this one to resell. I had it for sale for a few weeks and had some inquiries. Both here and on local 'for sale' sites. But every evening I had to take it out and look at it. And every evening I started to like it more. It was completely sealed and not sized so look was all I did. Than I thought, "no harm in sizing it" and so I did. I was of the deep end so to speak. After that the seals came of bit by bit until it became "my watch". Now it is on my wrist all the time and I love it. No longing for a white roman anymore.

Great choice, you falling in love with it makes me feel even better about longing for the same watch! |

Very beautiful DJ. I don't think any other watch manufacturer produces better blue dials then Rolex. Just my opinion. I had a blue dialed DJ and the blue was just unreal.

I think the pictures look as good as the watch. Outstanding use of reflection.

I like the concentric dial - I had one on a Lady DJ but found the lack of contrast and small dial hard to read. I can see yours gives you plenty of contrast for readability. I would love to see a lume shot!

What a beautiful watch! You made the right choice.
Are all of the dates shown in red, or do they alternate red/black each day? |

Beautiful watch, and outstanding pictures. Using a mirror is a great idea. Have to agree with the poster who remarked about the beauty of Rolex's blue dials. I have a 31mm DJ with a blue dial and a blue dialed sub, so I may be a bit impartial. Great story how it grew on you too. |
