Wondering the same. They gave it its own page but zero mention about what the new dial is exactly.

Fun fact; if it's cool I can just source a Falcon dial. It's probably a bit like the Tiger eye on old DD where there's like crazy perceived depth to the some parts of it.

Yeah...I'm not getting that either.

Maybe it looks better in the flesh? I sure hope so, 'cause the early pics I'm seeing are not promising.

…they’re using defective dials by giving them a fancy name.

What happened here was that some dial blanks at the Rolex factory were accidentally loaded into the machine that does the brushed finish on Oyster bracelets. Rolex didn't notice until they produced a few thousand brushed dials, so rather than stop production and slow everything down even more they threw some Yacht-Master printing on it and sold it as a new watch.

Indeed, either that or water damage

I am sure it's incredible in person!

As a YM42 owner I am not sure you could make its hands more legible. It is even easier to read than the current Polar EXP2.

Sounds like they are following the vintage dealers with that one…….

I honestly thought there was something the matter with the picture when I first saw it. I even double checked my browser to make sure I wasn’t on a fake website. I don’t get it at all, looks like a printer with low ink. Never heard of the material.

Funny some of the opinions in here. I absolutely love this watch. Easily my favorite of all the new releases, and probably one of my favorite Rolex models, period.

I really like it - I personally like it better than meteorite dials. For black dial lovers like me, this is that bridge.
