Rolex needs to force AD's to hold a hand writing test in order to purchase, in this left-hander's opinion.

I wouldn’t mind it. I have an oris watch that has the crown on the left side and it wears great on my left hand. The crown doesn’t dig into my hand like a right hand model would.

The date is on the wrong side though

I'm a lefty that has always worn my watch on my left hand.

This watch has me tempted. I've always thought about wearing on my right wrist, but my right wrist is thicker than my left and I've never gotten around to adjusting a bracelet to try it.

I'm also curious about how wearing a LHD watch on my left would feel.

My guess is they will release a right hand/ normal model sometime this summer. Obviously a guess. I love the color but even as a lefty, I would prefer a normal model.

I am right-handed. When I wear my watch, the crown is often up against the back of my hand. Not only is that a little odd (and potentially uncomfortable), it makes winding while wearing not practical.

So if I take it off to wind it, and when I wear it the crown is at the back of my hand, what exactly makes it "right-handed" (or in reverse "left-handed")? Sure, it would be upside down if I preferred to wind it with my other hand but...

In my mind, left-handed and right-handed in terms of watches is strange.

To answer the original question, I will probably get one because I rarely wind my watch and I'd like to see what having the crown away from my hand is like.

The left crown doesn't bother me but the left cyclops is an eyesore.

The LHD Pelagos keeps the date window on the right side as it should.

No. I wish. Love the green but that would be too goofy. Let’s leave this for left handed people. They’ve been through enough. :-)

I'm a righty that wears my watch on the right hand. It's not only the look that bothers be, but pulling the crown out and setting the watch will be extremely awkward using my thumb an index fingers on my left hand.

This sprite is a bit quirky but that is part of the fun of owning it. I have 3 other GMT watches so this will be my 4th. I have a PEPSI ceramic Jubilee, Two tone yellow gold (green GMT hand) ceramic, Panerai GMT/power reserve indicator. I have a blue TT sub. Ceramic but doesnt get much wrist time lately.

I'm left handed and have never wore a watch on my right wrist. It's just wrong. Just like which hand you hold a fork and knife in.... :)

By the way my brother is right handed and he wears his watch on his right hand - who knows what's wrong with him. Maybe he's a taker for green sprite lantern or whatever the hell were gonna call it.

I would respectfully decline it and see if green sub could happen.

I think this new GMT is awesome. I love it for all its quirkiness.

Is there any known reason why they made this a lefty? Is there a historical reason I don't know about? Or catering to lefties? Very strange, what gives?

Won't be requesting, will be turning down if offered. So, for my left hand brethren, there is *some* hope supplies funnel your way.

Very disappointing release IMO.

Sure - I sometimes switch the wrists that I wear watches on.

The black+green bezel doesn't particularly strike me though. More of a batman bezel fan.

I'll never consider this GMT Master personally. Would've been better off making a variation in YG since a big hole in the current GMT Master line. Or at least increasing supply of SS BLNRs and BLROs which are still more or less paper releases. Waste of 3285s here imo.

Good question.

I'd wear it proudly. But not top of my list.
